Voila
GL aux tables!
Hi, sorry I can only answer in english. Use google translator if you do not understand
It depends on your EV, there is no exact answer to be given. A breakeven player will have a lot bigger swings than a 3% ROI player for example.
The bigger your edge on your limit is, the less buy ins you can drop, this is pure mathematic.
However even a 1% ROI, so at least winning player, can drop over 100 buy ins at one point easily, while a 5% player will rarely even drop 50 buy ins. I for example have ~6,5% at the 3€ SH DoNs and my biggest downswing was about 35 buy ins, while I dropped over 50 buy ins at the 5€’s multiple times. In the 10€ SH DoNs my biggest downswing was even 105 buy ins (still running 800€ under EV overall though).
This has the following reason: the smaller your samplesize is, the more your win or loss can deviate from your EV. I once was over 20K Games 170 ABI (Average buy ins) under EV. 4K Games later Winnings and EV were the same again.
So I ran just breakeven for over 20K Games, however my EV was just 1,5% ROI, played many bad games with many regs + I play many tables, so my ROI pre rakeback is low naturally.
So that means over 20K Games I ran 1,5% under my EV. If my EV/Winrate was 4% this would not be a problem, I would still run on 2,5% ROI, but this way I was breakeven with pretty big buy in swings during this time.
The bankrollmanagement also depends on your own comfort. It depends if you want to deposit again if you go broke, then obviously you can take more shots. Do you want to move down if you hit a downswing at the start, then you can also take shots. I myself am very conservative with bankrollmanagement because I hate moving down again in limits if things go bad. So I myself have never shot a limit if I had not at least 100 buy ins for a specific buy in (eg. for 5€ DoNs at least 500€). Even then I would recommend just mixing in the higher buy ins to your normal buy ins, instead of just moving up at once. If you want to move up to 5€ Fullrings, play your normal 2€ and 3€ Session and add a few tables of 5€ that look good (not many Regs). Get comfortable at the new buy in, then add more tables of the higher buy in and play less the lower buy in.
In your example, MoreCoffee, I looked at your sharkscope, your winrates are very high so far, even for FR DoNs where winrates are higher anyways, but the samplesize is still small. I know nothing about your game, but generally the regulars at the fullring DoNs are almost all pretty bad. Only a few, very few, are decent. The average Reg in Fullring DoN is a lot worse than the Regs in SH DoNs. If you know what you are doing there is absolutely nothing to fear.
So my suggestion for you personally is, depending what your bankroll is:
Keep playing the games you play now. Once you hit 300€ Bankroll it is fine to add maybe 15-20% of your games at 5€ level, always looking that there are not many Regs in the game. When you are comfortable with the game and your bankroll got a little bit bigger, add more 5€ to your session.
As for your question about the 5€,10€ and 20€ Regs… So what Pamela-Paris, Winfilberte, Me if I play a Fullring Session etc. play in their session, I would not recommend any less than 2K Bankroll. When Traffic is good, some of us even play only the 10€ and 20€ Buy ins, to be safe at this, you need even more. These games can be quite swingy and ROIs get a little lower there over the longterm. But like I said, I am very conservative about this, if someone likes to be more risky it is their decision
I hope this helped you a little bit and that you understood it even if you needed to use a translator
I’m agree

Thank you PlzBeNice! I understood perfectly.
I’m going to mix with some 5€ when I’ll have 80 buy ins and at least 100 buy ins to play the 10€ and 20€.
I hope I will play on your tables before the end of the year
)
Nice that it helped you MoreCoffee.
If you want to mix in 5€ as soon as possible and you are reasonably bankrolled now, I would recommend taking a shot rather sooner than later. Right now a lot of games run at 5€ buy in, so you can pick good games. When life is a little more normal again in france, so 11th may from what I heard, I think all games will become worse again. Usually you will find 5€+ FR DoN Traffic to be only good in the evening, with many Regs in the games. Again, most of these Regs are not good in my honest opinion + opinion of other good Regs I talk to, but everyone of them will decrease your ROI or cost you money so to say. So if your objective is moving up quickly, do it soon
Otherwise, it is also totally reasonable to stay at your current games for now, like I said, so far you have been crushing the FR DoNs and most likely your €-per-game-winrate is not higher at 5€’s where games start to become a little bit harder.
As for Miles everyone has a different approach. Me as high volume, low ROI grinder where most profit comes from rakeback I prefer exchanging them relatively often, to see a progress more often. It helps staying motivated
Some like to keep them for Downswings, that is also a good approach. Or, in your case, if you have leftover Miles, use them to buy 5€ Tickets and take a few game shots.
Best of luck
